SWANTON SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING MINUTES
Monday, July 13, 2009 1:00pm
Present:
Board Members: Don Collins, Chair, Roy Eckler, Patti Jo Walker, and April Kilbury were present. Corinne Bonnette was absent from the meeting.
Administration: Julie Benay, Principal, and Dr. John McCarthy, Superintendent.
Others present: None
Don Collins called the meeting to order at 1:04pm.
Roy Eckler made motion, seconded by April Kilbury to enter executive session at 1:06pm. The board approve the motion 4-0 vote.
April Kilbury made motion, seconded by Roy Eckler to exit executive session at 1:17pm. The Board approved the motion 4-0 vote.
April Kilbury made motion, seconded by Patti Jo Walker to offer Karen Tyler the Literacy Content Position and approve the contract for the 2009-2010 school year. The board approved the motion 4-0 vote.
Roy Eckler stated that he will be out of commission on September 7th and would like to replace his position on the Franklin Northwest SU Board Meeting in October 2009. The board will discuss this issue at the August board meeting.
Roy Eckler made motion to adjourn at 1:23pm, seconded by April Kilbury. The board approved to adjourn on a 4-0 vote.
